Janelle Wanner, née Sharp, is an educator, free-lance trumpet player, and an orchestral musician. She has performed in musicals, show bands, churches, and more through-out the Kansas City Area since 2014. Janelle graduated in 3 years from the University of Central Missouri with a BM in Trumpet Performance in 2020, studying under Dr. Alan Wenger. She won the Aria Competition and received the Outstanding Brass Recipient Award. She is currently studying with Steven Franklin, the Associate Principal Trumpet of the Kansas City Symphony.
